I need help identifying a Star Wars comic book?

All I know is it is about a pilot with a beard who feels bad about bombing a village and his commanding officer feels the same way. Later his officer gets like inated by a rogue probe droid and they are on the death star when Han and Chewie are on it. The pilot gets blown up in the death star in the end.
