A symbolic tattoo for change or serenity that's not chinese symbol?

I currently have a tattoo on my lower back with three chinese symbols (fate, love eternity), erflies, and cherry blossoms. For my 18th birthday, during college, I want to get a tattoo below my waist line that symbolizes change or serenity. Or anything else related to inner peace that comes with being free to become the individual you are. I'm lost on ideas since I already have kanji and flowers. Any ideas? It needs to be fairly small, so probably not anything too detailed
